It first appeared in 1968 designed by Gerald Genta. The Ellipse sanctioned an evolution between modern design and tradition, exhibiting a harmony of proportions pleasing to the eye. Its design was inspired by the principle of the "golden section" discovered by the ancient Greek mathematicians. This "divine proportion" - expressed with the fraction 1 / 1.6181 - is the basis of some of the greatest artistic and architectural masterpieces in history.
Complete with original Patek guarantee, box and booklets. Please note that from 1 April 2021 Patek no longer releases archive extracts for watches after 1989, therefore the presence of the kit constitutes a plus value.
